A native of Oakville, Doreen (Ingram) Thomas joined the CUAC Blues senior A team in 1954 at age 15. A pitcher who also was a good hitter, she was selected as an all-star several times during her eight years with the team. CUAC won the Western Canadian championship in 1957. She also helped Blues win Manitoba the next four years. After the 1961 season, Doreen moved to Saskatchewan where she passed away in 1995. She and her CUAC team-mates for the 1957-1962 period will be inducted into the HOF in the team category in May 2005.
