Vic Pidhirny certainly qualifies for induction in the all-around category. He played for the Portage Mercurys senior team that was inducted in to the HOF in 2003. He coached senior women’s softball in Portage and was named Softball Manitoba’s top senior coach in 1982. He served as president of Softball Manitoba from 1977 to 1980 and was a member of the board of governors from 1983-1989. He also served as Softball Canada’s commissioner in Manitoba for several years in the 1980s. Vic was the second president of the Manitoba Softball HOF and Museum Inc. and played a major role in having the facility located in Portage la Prairie. He is a Softball Manitoba honourary life member.
