It is with sincere sadness that the Manitoba Softball Hall of Fame and Museum share the news of the passing of Evelyne Holenski on April 15, 2023. Evelyne, along with her husband Roy, were inducted into the Manitoba Softball Hall of Fame and Museum in 2003 in the Builder category. The Holenski name is synonymous with the Smitty's Softball as she and Roy are considered founders of the organization. Evelyne contributed to softball in Manitoba as a coach, organizer, manager and mentor. She was an executive member of the Manitoba Softball Hall of Fame & Museum and also contributed to Softball Manitoba, Sport Manitoba (inducted three times in 2003, 2005, 2007) and Softball Canada (inducted 2015)
